5.   After sub-rule (g) of rule 31 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules, sub-rule (h) shall be inserted as follows:

• (h)      Defence Studies

6.   Rule 32 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 32.     The executive level officials course shall be joined by the healthy deputy directors general and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 57 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

7.   Rule 33 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 33.     The senior level officials course shall be joined by the healthy directors and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 55 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

8.   Rule 34 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 34.     The mid – level officials course shall be joined by the healthy assistant directors, deputy directors and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 52 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

9.   Rule 35 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 35.     The basic course for civil service officers shall be joined by the healthy staff officers and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 45 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

10.   Rule 36 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

36.     The pre – service officers (special) course shall be joined by the healthy officials who are selected for initial appointment posts of the gazetted officer rank by the Board for the relevant ministries and organizations.

11.   The introduction of rule 37 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 37.     The junior level officers course shall be joined by the following healthy service personnel who are at and under the age of 45 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

12.   Rule 38 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 38.     The clerical staff supervisor course shall be joined by the healthy branch clerks and office superintendents who are at and under the age of 45 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

13.   Rule 39 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 39.     The clerical staff course shall be joined by the healthy senior and junior clerks who are at and under the age of 45 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

14.   Rule 40 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 40.     The relevant ministries and organizations shall coordinate with the Board for the officers who are directly selected by the Board to be able to join the pre – service officers (special) course as a special case.
