The Union Civil Service Board hereby issues these rules in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (a) of section 27 of the Union Civil Service Board Law with the approval of the Union Government.

1.    These rules shall be called the Rules Amending the Union Civil Service Board Rules.

2.   Rule 22 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 22.     When initial appointed posts of the gazetted officer rank become vacant and civil service personnel need to be promoted to fill up the posts, the ministries and organizations shall coordinate it with the Board by nominating the service personnel in the waiting list, and obtain approval from it. The psychological test for service personnel who will be promoted to initial appointed posts of the gazetted officer rank shall be done in coordination with the Board.

3.   After sub-rule (l) of rule 23 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules, sub-rules (m) and (n) shall be inserted as follows:

• (m)     whether the nominated service personnel have been psychologically tested.
• (n)      whether the nominated service personnel have attended the training courses conducted by the Civil Service Academies stipulated for the present post.

4.   Sub-rule (b) of rule 30 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

(b)      Regular Courses

• (1)   Executive Level Officials Course;
• (2)   Senior Level Officials Course;
• (3)   Mid – Level Officials Course;
• (4)   Basic Course for Civil Service Officers;
• (5)   Pre – Service Officers (Special) Course;
• (6)   Junior Level Officers Course;
• (7)   Clerical Staff Supervisor Course;
• (8)   Clerical Staff Course.

5.   After sub-rule (g) of rule 31 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules, sub-rule (h) shall be inserted as follows:

• (h)      Defence Studies

6.   Rule 32 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 32.     The executive level officials course shall be joined by the healthy deputy directors general and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 57 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

7.   Rule 33 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 33.     The senior level officials course shall be joined by the healthy directors and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 55 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

8.   Rule 34 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 34.     The mid – level officials course shall be joined by the healthy assistant directors, deputy directors and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 52 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

9.   Rule 35 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

• 35.     The basic course for civil service officers shall be joined by the healthy staff officers and the officers of the same ranks who are at and under the age of 45 and selected by the relevant ministries and organizations.

10.   Rule 36 of the Union Civil Service Board Rules shall be substituted as follows:

36.     The pre – service officers (special) course shall be joined by the healthy officials who are selected for initial appointment posts of the gazetted officer rank by the Board for the relevant ministries and organizations.
